First time significantly under $1/GB for half-way decent SSD
However, note the performance times are NOT stellar. I would more likely consider this for the ability to increase battery life in a notebook (by reducing power requirements over an HDD) rather than for its performance. There have been MUCH faster SSD units on sale/rebate for something over $1/GB (see earlier posts, and see following SATAIII post). Although...this SSD is still considerably faster than typical notebook HDDs, especially those that claim to be "green".
